Mountain biking, as opposed to riding mountain bikes, requires a bit of circumspection. If the Surrey Hills can bite (and many of us have the evidence to show it), then mountains of any description will take more than a nibble if they get a chance.

Ride report: Sunday 13 July – Pure XC

As the week has moved on, bringing with it baking sunshine and hot, dusty trails, it seems unlikely that last Sunday morning I was looking out the window wondering if I might have to invoke the Rain Clause. In the end, I’m very glad I didn’t.
