Advert Orange

Amongst the Christmas hiatus things got a bit buried. One of which was the fact that the Muddymoles managed to get two of their photos published in the end of year back page advert in Singletrack magazine.

It seems that Orange have developed something of a tradition to thank their customers by publishing a selection of photos of people enjoying their bikes (not, I hasten to add, in the manner of a Scottish hostel guest). This year over 800 photos were apparantly submitted, three from the Muddymoles, two of which made the grade and got published in Singletrack.

There’s me on the Orange demo bike at the Cycleworks demo day in March when I realised an Orange Five was really the best choice for me, plus a shot of Dave ploughing his own furrow (oh dear) at Bedgebury in June when mud really should have been a long forgotten rumour.

The quirks of real world printing mean the shots are not particularly clear and they’re each only two centimetres square but at least we’re now published photographers. I know people who spend their whole time trying to get that accolade.

If you want further proof, track down a copy of the Dec 2007 Singletrack magazine. Best advice would be to order one from the website if you’re really keen.

Thanks for reading,
Matt

    Hi Matt

Been thinking of my mtb resolutions for 2008

    1. Complete at least 1000 miles (leisure only, no commuting)

    2. Avoid buying a road bike unlike everyone else it seems (I’ve enough fettishes as it is without developing one for lycra)

    3. Clean the climb up to High Ashurst from Lodgebottom Road

    4. Learn to jump (small hillocks only)

    5. Learn to wheelie

    6. Learn to hop

    7. Get out MTBing at least twice every week (failed already)

    8. Go to ride in Wales at least 3 times during the year

    9. Stop losing so much kit to the trail pixies

    10. Stop getting wound up so much when I see full, steaming nappy sacks or carrier bags hanging from the trees

All of the above are completely within my grasp with a bit of dedication and some support from fellow Molers.

    Happy New Year to all
