Missed Opportunity

Most of you will think I am nuts but I bought some Rock Shox Recon 351 to go on the Mount Vision instead of the Floats.

Yeah I know Floats are supposed to rock but I’m not keen. I wanted some decent coil spring based forks and the Recon’s seemed to be a reasonable choice, that and the fact that BikeParts‘s eBay shop had them at a decent price.

Duly ordered and they arrived on Friday… well some Recon 351’s arrived but 100mm Air Sprung c/w Poploc ones arrived instead of my coil sprung U-turns. I was probably rather hasty as after a phone call and an offer for me to keep them I asked for them to be collected and the correct ones despatched.

After checking I see the Poploc ones were worth nearly £50 more than the U-Turn ones! Should have kept them and flogged them on eBay again. Anyway, full report on the new forks next week I hope.
