Up and Downhill Holidays - guided mountain biking holidays in Elmau, Austria
As you all know, we’re not a commercial organisation. In fact, we’re not an organisation at all, just a group of mountain bikers who like riding the Surrey Hills. We come from all sorts of backgrounds and have little in common except our love of biking.

So usually we don’t publicise other people’s businesses. Recently though, Keith from the Up and Downhill Holidays blog has left a few comments on our site and while on one hand you could say this is just link building, it’s intelligent link building and publicity since the comments are actually relevant to the articles in question and he sounds a nice bloke. And Keith’s business just happens to be guided mountain biking holidays in Ellmau, Austria.

Now, I don’t know Keith. And I haven’t used his holiday service so don’t take this as any kind of recommendation, but one look at his website shows that mountain biking in Austria has a lot going for it!

(Sigh) one day… one day…!

About the author

Matt is one of the founding Molefathers of the Muddymoles, and is the designer and main administrator of the website.

Having ridden a 2007 Orange Five for many years then a 2016 YT Industries Jeffsy 29er, he now rocks a Bird Aether 9 and a Pace RC-627.

An early On-One Inbred still lurks in the back of the stable as a reminder of how things have moved on. You can even find him on road bikes - currently a 2019 Cannondale Topstone 105 SE, a much-used 2011 Specialized Secteur and very niche belt drive Trek District 1.

If you've ever wondered how we got into mountain biking and how the MuddyMoles started, well wonder no more.

Thanks fellas. Really appreciated. It seems obvious but I want to follow what folks are doing in England to see what / how people are mountain biking and what we can improve and offer. With all this reading I can not keep my mouth shut all the time!

    cheers

    Keith

p.s. Ellmau is spelt with two l’s

I’ve just spent a week in Ellmau with Up and Downhill holidays (I actually found out about it from this post). Keiths knowledge of the local routes is great, and he’s really passionate about the biking which made for a great time.

I’d highly recommend heading over there if you get the chance!

  3. Matt says:

Mike, glad you can recommend Keith’s outfit and very glad we were able to help in a small way!

Hope you had a great time in the Alps. Just looking at the photo above makes me want to ride there…
