Muddymoles mountain biking in the Surrey Hills and Mole Valley

Afan MTB photos

Regulars I’m sure will by now have noticed the huge amount of photos we managed to squeeze onto Flickr of our recent MTB trip to Afan and Glyncorrwg in South Wales.

A selection of my favourites are here, first a picture of me on the berms above the Whites Level climb. I like this mainly because usually I end up taking the pictures, so it’s a rare shot of me in action and not looking too out of shape!

Next, an artful shot from Colin of the start of Grand Canyon on the Skyline Trail. Apart from the boulder field merriment, the rest of the trail was smooth flowing and great fun.

Finally, another mood shot of Dave P’s bike above Llyn Fach on the Riding High trail on Skyline which I’m rather proud of.

All our Afan 2008 MTB pictures can be viewed on Flickr. There might even be a picture of a Welsh family taking their cat for a walk somewhere!

About the author

Matt is one of the founding Molefathers of the Muddymoles, and is the designer and main administrator of the website.

Having ridden a 2007 Orange Five for many years then a 2016 YT Industries Jeffsy 29er, he now rocks a Bird Aether 9 and a Pace RC-627.

An early On-One Inbred still lurks in the back of the stable as a reminder of how things have moved on. You can even find him on road bikes - currently a 2019 Cannondale Topstone 105 SE, a much-used 2011 Specialized Secteur and very niche belt drive Trek District 1.

If you've ever wondered how we got into mountain biking and how the MuddyMoles started, well wonder no more.
