On Saturday 21st January, Dorking Naturally are launching their community initiative project at Holmbury St Mary village hall in Felday Glade to pool together wellbeing and holistic businesses in the Surrey Hills.

A ‘Discovery Day” will include some interesting talks, such as a very interesting guided walk with ex Surrey wildlife Ranger, Jim Storrar. Jim is very passionate about his work and will lead a group of walkers onto Holmbury Hill, discussing the flora, fauna, archaeology and history of the area and the iron age fort.

The village hall will cater for food from local producers, and cake, some of which will be gluten free, tea and coffee at a donation. Entry to the hall is free and there will be therapies available at a reduced rate.

If you are out for a ride, or want to learn more about the area that you ride, come along, even if to pop in for a coffee and chat.

Danielle Weaver of Surrey Massage Clinic, and wife of mole MarkW, has set up a CIC (Community Interest Company) with other local wellbeing businesses, whose aim is to pool together all the wellbeing and holistic businesses in the Surrey Hills area to promote Dorking as a centre of excellence in the holistic, ethical and wellbeing industry.

The timing is to coincide with the up and coming Olympic road race event, particularly as interest in our area has increased dramatically since the announcement of the race.

Danielle I am interested in the guided walk with the ranger – what time is it as I cannot find a timetable.
