Uberbike Airtech tubeless tyre valve review

I have been upgrading my tubeless valves recently.

Last year I talked about the many tubeless valve options on the market.

These Uberbike Airtech tubeless tyre valves eschew some of that technology in favour of good, solid execution. What they do, they do very well.

Uberbike get the essentials spot on. The base is rounded to create a good seal around the valve hole. Even so the base then opens out into a more ovalised shape which orientates the valve along the rim bed.

Within this base are channels to direct air flow straight out into the tyre and lengthwise along the rim bed. Without getting overly complicated they allow air to flow freely through the valve when needed.

Securing the valve is a large nut and a rubber washer to protect your rims from damage.

At the input end, the core is of course removable as you would expect and comes with large open machined caps that feature a core remover. This is a small detail that will always prove useful when you most need it.

I have used these valves for some time. They have proved very reliable and hold air very well. As you can see I have gone for the attractive oil slick finish but many other colours are available at a cost of £14.99 a pair. In my mind, those prices are a bit of a bargain.

Originally I bought a pair for my road bike. While they may look a little chunky, I think they will work well, although pay attention to the length at 40mm.

However, I’ve since also bought extra pairs for my Bird Aether full suspension and my Cannondale Topstone gravel bike as I really like the large bore of the valve for setting up tubeless tyres. And I really like the oil slick finish which really pops.

If you are looking for valves, give these a go. They work and the price is good and Uberbike often offer discounts if you keep your eyes open.
