The founding fathers
Here’s a photo of something you don’t see very often. All three founding MoleFathers together in one place with at least two of us threatening to ride a bike.
Kev snapped Mark, Dave and myself at Mayhem this year and if we’d had any sense we’d have stayed put in the tent and drunk beer for the whole weekend. Let’s not re-live that experience again.
I thought I’d post this because if there’s any photo that sums the Muddymoles up as a group it’s this. It’s a broad church and as you can see here, everybody’s special.
We may have been the first but many have followed in our wheeltracks. Just wanted to tip my hat to everyone who’s ridden with us over the years.
About the author
Matt is one of the founding Molefathers of the Muddymoles, and is the designer and main administrator of the website.
Having ridden a 2007 Orange Five for many years then a 2016 YT Industries Jeffsy 29er, he now rocks a Bird Aether 9 and a Pace RC-627.
An early On-One Inbred still lurks in the back of the stable as a reminder of how things have moved on. You can even find him on road bikes - currently a 2019 Cannondale Topstone 105 SE, a much-used 2011 Specialized Secteur and very niche belt drive Trek District 1.

I also have this pic available in its original full size format if anyone wants to use it as a pest deterrent, pigeon scarer, fox frightener and any number of other uses!

Thank you, Molefathers; you’ve certainly added some colour (in the clothing dept), laughs (countered by a few tears), and encouragement (mainly of immature behaviour) over these last few years. Cheers guys 😉

It’s not easy to get the eyes past those boots or socks that Mark is wearing. Okay kids, is this rock star cool, medieval party boots being all he could find, flared jeans, warm socks summing up that he has gone soft over the years, worn for a bet, personally chosen.
Let’s just be thankful they aren’t in colours that appeal to Dandy or we will see Catweazle out on the trails yet to go with the dance he has already perfected!…
