Where on earth have we been?
Apologies to everyone for the past few months of radio silence. I’m sure you’ve been wondering where we’ve been?
Well, primarily I’ve been faced with all kinds of technical difficulties. First off, my PC died, forcing me into an expensive rebuild that I wasn’t planning. Then we decided to re-decorate our ‘study’ at home, which meant I somewhat lost the writing habit.
After all that, I then found a recent update to the backend software that this site uses was being blocked at work – so writing an article in the evening and editing/publishing from work was out. It’s only recently that a new update has fixed this.
Finally, I can resume writing.
I seem to have missed a lot but the important thing is the riding continues as normal. Various Moles have been to North Wales, South Wales and all round Surrey while I have concentrated on commuting with my road bike and my mountain bike. The trails are in cracking condition and I am finally getting round to selling off my ‘old stock’ on eBay to make space for something new.
I have new kit too – new pedals, new shoes, new tubeless inflators, new bar tape, new socks (!). Plenty to write up in fact…
And I really am enjoying my riding which is really what it’s all about isn’t it?

Just in time for those of us leaving the winter sports behind and getting into the mtb season. Why, some recent rides have even exceeded 10 miles !

Although there is no strava evidence to back up D’Andy’s claim of +10mile rides.
Good to see you back virtually and on a MTB Matt!

At this rate I can see Andy claiming ‘epic’ status on any rides over 15 miles…
