Colin’s finally got around to finishing the totally biased review of his not-so-new-now dialled bikes Prince Albert.
So I know you’ve all been waiting for the review of my new Orange 5, the build, the birth but I don’t expect many of you were expecting the rapid death either…
Either that or they just have got it right. The deed has been done, 16″ and sparkle laquer on a Passion Red base coat. I’m pimping the Five up so much I may well have Huggy Bear knocking on my door asking me to ease off.
It’s all in the travel as far as I’m concerned. My beloved white Inbred is dead, long live the Inbred!
I needed to get off my fully rigid £180 Free Spirit Kielder and onto something with a modicum of “MTB” about it. Fortunately, a deal was struck with a mate of Dave’s who hadn’t really done much with his bike and I ended up with this near unused Nail Trail at a bargain price.
Now I love my Inbred. In a manly sort of way you understand.
I bought the bike to get back to the hard tail experience and haven’t really looked back, but it is very different to the East Peak.
I feel very nostalgic about this bike as it was the first ‘proper’ MTB I owned.
