After a brief debate via the forum the previous evening as to the starting point, we had 6 brave Moles layering up to keep out the early morning chill.
Promised pints promote punctuality
With the promise of a post-ride beer to celebrate JR’s impending birthday, for once I was at the garage meeting point with time to spare. JR arrived 5 minutes later, and after the obligatory further 5 minutes of chat and waiting for latecomers (none expected, none arrived), the two of us set off.

Ride report 10/02/13 – Mole Hole Flooded
The only reason I can think that 10 Moles turned out to ride in such foul weather is that their Mole Holes had flooded!
What’s the story?
Morning glory, naturally … and what a glorious morning it was, though pretty nippy at the start. The weak morning sunshine was reflecting ominously off the thin layer of ice crystals coating the road surface that so far was undisturbed by daytime traffic.
